Rapeseed coconut wax NatureWax® 660-55M

NatureWax® 660-55M is a vegetable wax mixture made from rapeseed wax and a proportion of coconut wax ( 45% approx). The vegetable wax has been developed for the production of tea lights, small candles in containers (< 60 mm) and wax melts. The wax is odourless and has an excellent scent release.  NatureWax® 660-55M has a smooth, shiny surface and can be easily removed from moulds. The wax mixture is free from animal, mineral and genetically modified ingredients.

NatureWax® 660-55M has a melting point of approximately 50°C. The wax can be heated to 70°C for the addition of colours and fragrances. Higher temperatures are acceptable, but it is not recommended to heat the wax above 90°C for a prolonged period of time. The ideal pouring temperature depends on the size of the mould, the ambient temperature and the additives. We recommend conducting several tests. To start with, we recommend a pouring temperature of 50-60°C. For optimal results, the containers should be at a temperature of 20 - 30°C. As this is a purely natural product, stress cracks may occur in larger moulds. Depending on the fragrance and conditions, re-pouring or remelting the surface may be necessary. Before use, the wax should be allowed to cool and harden for at least 12 hours.

Recommended usage:
Preheat containers/moulds
Melt wax to approximately 70°C - fragrance and colour can be added at this point
Pour at 50-60°C.
